From the principal,

Danville Viking Families:
This has been a rewarding year for many reasons. The most important that comes to mind is the
collaboration that is evident at all levels. Our students have demonstrated that they can share their voice to inspire change that is focused on promoting safety, celebrating diversity, and bringing out the best qualities in one another.
Staff is working tirelessly as new approaches are investigated to increase academic and behavioral interventions through their daily collaboration. We are excited about new electives being added in music, business, and as freshmen transition to Danville High School.

As a principal, you want to be surrounded by the very best. I am surrounded by student, parent, teacher leaders, and a united admin team at Danville High School. I have been so impressed by the number of individuals that step up when a need is present. We are working closely with DACC and Vermilion Advantage. As a result, many new opportunities for internships and college credits are emerging for our students. The responsibility of all fosters a positive and engaging climate. The final exam schedule is enclosed for May 23-25. The last day for seniors is May 18 and they will take finals early. Our graduation is set for Sunday, May 27th at the Palmer Civic Center at 3:00. Each graduate will receive eight tickets to accommodate their guests. We wish our 2018 graduates the very best as they begin the next chapter of their lives. I look forward to our continued work and thank you for being a positive partner and ambassador for Danville High School.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Norton, Principal
