Public School Foundation, in partnership with the Iroquois Federal Foundation, recently funded a classroom set of Virtual Reality Kits for Danville High School teacher Tyler Overstreet’s class. The viewers, along with the Google Expeditions app, a virtual reality tool, allows Overstreet to lead immersive virtual trips all over the world, get up close with historical landmarks, and even visit outer space. Using the viewers, Overstreet, acting as a "guide," leads his classroom of "explorers" through collections of 360-degree and 3D images while pointing out interesting sights along the way.
