In the interest of student safety and security, all students must purchase a school-issued lock. If your child has a DHS lock from last year, it may be traded in for a DHS lock at the time of registration. Otherwise, students must pay $4 for a DHS lock. When the fee is paid, each student will be issued the locker number and the combination for the lock. Students are not to share lockers, nor should they give their combinations to other students.

Medical Forms:
Medical forms and shot records must be returned at the time of registration. A sports physical cannot be used to enter school. The school nurse will be present during registration. If your child requires medication at DHS, (this includes over-the-counter medications) a district medication form must be filled out and signed by the doctor and the parent. Medications are to be kept in the nurse's office.

PE Uniforms: Students in PE classes are required to wear dark shorts and white t-shirts or a PE uniform. DHS t-shirts are also acceptable. PE uniforms will be sold at the time of registration for those interested in purchasing them. If your child wishes to purchase a PE uniform later, uniforms will be available in the cashier's office after school starts.

Parking Stickers:
Parking Stickers are sold for $7 to upperclassmen to use the school parking lots. In addition to the $7 fee, a student must show the following to obtain a sticker:

  1. Driver's license

  2. Receipt that the student has registered to attend DHS

  3. License plate number(s) of the car(s) being parked.
