Danville Viking Families: We are finishing strong our final weeks, with many opportunities to celebrate success and showcase all of our students talents. We are looking forward to seeing you at our Parent University session hosted at Danville High School on Wednesday, May 3rd at 6:00. We will also be having our Scholarship Recognition that evening and more information will soon be made available. Please see the calendar for detailed dates and times of all of these events. We will soon have tickets available in the office for the Night of Singing and Dancing on April 28th. Please join us so that you may support our students and be mesmerized as amazing talent is showcased. You should have received your student’s schedule for next year.

Finals: Spring 2017

College Express Students
DACC will be closed on Monday April 17th, 2017.

College Express students with an early bird class should report to Study Hall after their early bird class. Until 4th hour.

All other College Express students should plan to arrive no earlier than 10:10 AM that day and must report to their normal homeroom by 10:15.

Danville High School’s annual Veterans’ Concert will be held at the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium on May 11 at 7:00 p.m.
World War II, Korean Conflict, and Viet Nam Veterans who left an Illinois high school before receiving a high school diploma are eligible to receive a diploma from their home high school. Veterans of one of the above who attended Danville High School and withdrew before graduation who wish to receive their diploma, please contact:

A copy of the honorable discharge paper is required and a transcript will be ordered from our Records Office. After all documents are in order, a diploma will be made available.

On Wednesday, April 5 juniors only will be taking the SAT. Juniors affected should have received a letter and completed pre-ID work with their answer document.
There will be no earlybird transportation that day.
Seniors are not in attendance and may take advantage of a college career day.
Sophomore students may attend from 9 to 11 by providing their own transportation to experiment with pre-SAT practice through Kahn Academy in the library and need to enter through the circle drive entrance. Attendance is not mandatory for sophomores.
Freshman students are not in attendance unless they received an invite for remedial support.
Please call the school if you have any questions in regard to your student that day.

Our scholarship ceremony will be held at Turtle Run on May 3rd at 5:30 PM.  We will be celebrating the achievements of our students and honoring those who have so generously donated funds. A limited number of tickets will be allocated to each recipient. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
